I lean toward a photo-journalistic style of photography. I enjoy the adventure of seeking out subjects to shoot. I use the camera lens like a third eye. It helps me see the world in a particular way. I find myself drawn to patterns, lines, shapes, contrast, lightness and darkness. And while I do occasionally succumb to the cliché at times (sunsets for example), I try to create images from subjects other people tend to pass by or don't take the time to see. Or, I look to find a way to shoot an old subject in a new way. I examine the natural world as well as the man- made world and at times these two converge.

Lately the majority of my work can be found on Instagram.  Please follow me at https://instagram.com/michaelrmoy/ to see what I've been up to.

Mr. Moy,

The photography looks great. The Europe shots look better even the second time around.

Well done, Sir.
