Having recently returned from an overseas trip to Ireland, I am currently working on the many photos from that trip. You'll see that some of that work is published and can be most easily found in the featured galleries section. Please note that for the most part these galleries are still works in progress. As more photos are added, some may be taken away. More information about each photo is also in the works. In the meantime, please take a look and come back later for more.
And here's a little bit about my approach to the world:
I lean toward a photo-journalistic style of photography. I enjoy the adventure of seeking out subjects to shoot. I use the camera lens like a third eye. It helps me see the world in a particular way. I find myself drawn to patterns, lines, shapes, contrast, lightness and darkness. And while I do occasionally succumb to the cliché at times (sunsets for example), I try to create images from subjects other people tend to pass by or don't take the time to see. Or, I look to find a way to shoot an old subject in a new way. I examine the natural world as well as the man- made world and at times these two converge.
Follow me on instagram for an entirely different set of photos as I try to capture daily life wherever I happen to be.
